Students were asked to pick a business local to Columbia, South Carolina and create or improve a logo for it.
Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop create a new logo or improve upon an existing logo for the business chosen. In addition to a new logo, create a business card and one other material that would be beneficial to their business.
I chose if Art Gallery located in the heart of the Congaree Vista District of Columbia, South Carolina. The logo that I created plays off of the idea of “if” with the black penciled circle abstractly encompassing the endless possibilities of brainstorming the “if” and “what if”. The business card and artwork label have a simple black and white color scheme playing off of the dynamic of having all colors and no colors come together. This also helps the artwork label subtly stand out without overpowering any artwork displayed in the gallery.
